What Families Ask Most
If you're considering sleep support, chances are you're wondering some of the same things other parents have asked before you. Here are honest answers to the questions I hear most often from families who are tired, overwhelmed, and trying to figure out what comes next.
Is my child the right age for sleep consulting?
Probably.
I support families from the newborn stage through age 5 for typical sleep development and sleep challenges.
For children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other neurodivergent needs, I provide support through age 8 through my Dream Ready program.
Every child is unique, and sleep support is always tailored to your child's age, temperament, developmental stage, and family goals.
My child has autism, ADHD, or sensory differences. Can you help?
Yes.
Dream Ready is my specialized one-on-one sleep support program for children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental disabilities, and other neurodivergent needs.
This program looks at the whole child, including sleep patterns, health history, sensory preferences, daily routines, communication style, and family dynamics.
Every plan is fully customized to your child's strengths, challenges, and needs.
My approach prioritizes regulation, connection, and individualized support.
We move at your child's pace and make adjustments as needed, creating a plan that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
If you're unsure whether Dream Ready is the right fit, let's talk through your situation on a free assessment call.
Are you going to tell me to let my baby cry it out?
No.
Many families worry that sleep consulting means being told to shut the door and ignore their child. That is not my approach.
I believe sleep support should align with your family's values and your child's needs. Some families prefer a very gradual approach with a high level of parental involvement. Others are comfortable making changes more quickly. Together, we'll choose an approach that feels right for your family.
At Tender Sleep Company, sleep is viewed as a skill that can be taught through predictable routines, consistency, and age-appropriate expectations. There is never a one-size-fits-all approach.
How does this work if I don't live in Sioux Falls?
All of my families are supported virtually.
Consultations, coaching calls, education sessions, and follow-up support take place through video calls, phone calls, and text messaging, allowing families anywhere to receive personalized sleep support.
Because sleep happens at home, virtual consulting is often ideal. I can evaluate your child's routines, environment, schedules, and sleep patterns while you implement strategies in your own space.
For families participating in Rest Ready who live within 25 miles of Sioux Falls, an in-home visit is also included.
Which package is right for my family?
That depends on your child's age, your goals, and the type of support you're looking for.
Rest Ready
My premium 16-week program for expectant and new parents who want guidance from late pregnancy through the fourth trimester.
Dream Ready
My specialized one-on-one sleep support program for children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other neurodivergent needs.
Sound Sleep Solutions
My standard one-on-one sleep consulting package for babies, toddlers, and young children who need personalized sleep support.
Feel Ready
A small-group program offered periodically throughout the year for families preparing to return to work with babies between 3 and 6 months old.
If you're not sure which option fits your family best, we'll figure it out together during a assessment call.
How long does it usually take to see improvement?
Every child is different, but many families begin noticing positive changes within the first few days of implementing their plan consistently.
For some children, progress happens quickly. For others, particularly younger babies or neurodivergent children, change may be more gradual.
My goal is not simply short-term improvement. Together, we are building sustainable sleep habits that support your child and family for the long term.

Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, navigating a return to work, working through sleep challenges with your baby or toddler, or supporting a neurodivergent child, there's an option designed to meet your family's goals.
Many families tell me that better sleep doesn't just improve nights. It improves feeding, family routines, parental wellbeing, and confidence throughout the day.
Why does sleep consulting cost what it does?
Sleep consulting is much more than a customized sleep plan.
When you work with me, you're receiving individualized guidance, education, troubleshooting, and ongoing support tailored specifically to your child and family. Every recommendation is based on your child's age, temperament, development, sleep history, and your parenting goals.
Most families come to me after spending weeks or months searching for answers online, trying conflicting advice, and feeling overwhelmed by information that doesn't fit their situation.
My role is to simplify the process, help you avoid trial and error, and provide the support, education, and accountability that creates lasting change.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds to pay for sleep consulting?
Many HSA and FSA cards can be processed the same way as a traditional credit card.
Because every plan is different, I recommend checking with your HSA or FSA administrator regarding eligibility and reimbursement requirements.
If needed, I am happy to provide an itemized receipt for services rendered.
What if it doesn't work?
Every package includes my Support Guarantee.
If your family has consistently implemented the recommendations in your personalized plan and we are not seeing the progress we expected by the end of your support period, I'll extend support by one additional week at no cost.
While no sleep consultant can guarantee a specific outcome, I am committed to providing personalized guidance, education, ongoing support, and plan adjustments to help your family make meaningful progress toward better sleep.
What is your refund policy?
If you need to cancel before we begin working together, you may do so up to 24 hours before your scheduled kickoff call for a refund, less any services already provided.
Because I begin reviewing your intake information and preparing your personalized sleep plan before our kickoff call, any time already invested in your family's case will be deducted from the refund amount.
Once services have started, refunds are not available.
What actually happens on an assessment call?
The assessment call is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation designed to help us determine whether we're a good fit.
We'll talk about your child's sleep, what's been challenging, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping will improve.
I'll answer your questions, explain how I work, and help you determine which level of support makes the most sense for your family.
Whether we end up working together or not, my goal is for you to leave the call feeling heard, supported, and more confident about your next steps.
